Web Site Development

I will visit you (if required) in order to establish what you want to get from your web site, whether it's a new web site or the upgrading of an existing web site.

From that meeting, I will provide a plan of action where you can see what tasks you can perform, what tasks I can perform, and what tasks, if any, third party providers can perform (i.e. link building). Then you can budget your timing and costs.

I will provide a report on your web competition with distinct guidance on what actions we (you and me) need to take to improve your chances of online success.

Database Development

If you require more than a static web site, I can develop that for you, either from scratch, or by using and / or tailoring an off-the-shelf application (we don't want to re-invent the web).

With some companies this can lead to huge bills for the work, and for highly complex systems, it can be so, but for the majority of small businesses, a bespoke database application can be developed and launched in a number of days, at a very reasonable cost.

I have some examples where I have developed database driven web sites, for specific tasks so you can see the results, and learn about the process.

Search Engines

A lot is talked about search engine optimisation and if you haven't come across that TLA, you soon will ! If you need your web site to be found by potential customers when they search the internet, creating your web site is the first step, but it must also be conceived and implemented with the search engines in mind.

So much matters...

From the content you create, to the web page layout, to the names you give the web pages, to the images and links you include on the web pages... it all adds up to create a site that will be found, or will not be found.

About Me

My name is Tony Phipps and I started providing technical support for personal computers and networks to local companies in 1992. I set up Through the Line in 1998 when I decided I was going to take over the internet world by growing a large web design business employing lots of staff. However, early experiences taught me that I enjoyed working with customers and creating their web sites, much more than I did dealing with staff, sick days, reviews and so on. So, since then I have concentrated on doing what I love.

I hope I can help you achieve what you need from your web site, whether it's getting the most from your existing web site, creating a brand new web site, developing a database driven site, or helping with search engine placement and the Best 10 web hosting solutions...
